The DC Family Support Council (DC FSC) is continuing their series highlighting DC government agencies and affiliated organizations to share information about their services and programs that support DC residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families. It is critical for the DC FSC to support families with locating the information on agency changes in systems, processes, services, and programs as families are living on the other side of the COVID-19 pandemic. DC Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF) wants to hear from families about their experiences with accessing health care in the District of Columbia. This meeting will be the onset of discussions with DHCF on important issues to DC families on accessing health services including supports from the Health Services for Children with Special Needs, Inc., an affiliation of the HSC Health Care System which has been integrated with Children’s National. DC FSC welcomes the participation of HSCSN and Medicaid enrollees with IDD, parents, and family members to ask their questions and share their concerns for quality health care for their families.
Your input will support the DC FSC as we assist, advise, and provide recommendations to DHCF, HSC Health Care System, and other DC government agencies to better serve and support DC residents with IDD and their families.
