There is still time to register for this impactful event! Click here to register to learn more about FTDC and what our self-advocates and parents have to share about their experiences at the intersection of disability and race here in the Nation’s Capital.
All are welcome to join Quality Trust’s Family Ties of DC (FTDC) as we launch our innovative parent-to-parent matching program and host a Panel Discussion on “The Intersection of Disability and Race: Centering the Perspectives of DC Self-Advocates and Parents”. The panelists include District of Columbia residents Linda Brown, Effie Davis, Elijah Lee, and Ricardo Thornton. This lively, thought-provoking panel conversation is hosted by Andraéa N. LaVant, a former DC resident, national disability advocate, and Netflix impact producer of “Crip Camp”, which received a 2021 Oscar nomination for Documentary feature.
