For this year’s National Volunteer Appreciation Week, recognized from April 20-26, I want to take time to thank our volunteer board members who oversee the organization’s strategic plan, finances, programs – and me – to make sure Quality Trust will be able to advocate for people with developmental disabilities for a long time to come.

It’s been my pleasure to partner with Board Chair, Jahera Otieno, in setting our agendas and thoughtfully strategizing challenges as they arise. Our Development Committee members make sure our events reach our fundraising goals and that we continue to generate new ideas for raising funds. Thank you Ryan King, Mariana Roig, Jackie Spainhour, and Sherry Teycer! Our Governance Committee members ensure our bylaws, policies, and procedures are in order and that we are thoughtfully looking for new board members. Thank you Keith Wright! And thank you to our two newest board members, Phillip Dorroh and Robin Shaffert. We are excited to work together for the next several years!
